Our Ergonomic Partners in-house team of engineers and fabricators built this custom fixture to allow operators to grind, deburr, and clean pinion gear teeth. The work positioner streamlines the deburring/finishing process improving productivity, enhancing operator safety, and provides workers the ability to focus on consistent, high-quality finishes. The gripping tool, fixture, and positioner feature a pneumatic gripping clamp that securely holds the bottom of the pinion in place, pneumatic sliding steel tailstock with Linatex lined grip pad holds the top of the pinion, 180° pneumatic flipping frame with +90°/ 0° / -90° stops, 230VAC variable frequency drive controlled geared rotary motor provides precise 0° to 270°, smooth, and fluid rotation ensuring that all sides and edges of the gear can be evenly deburred. The control station features a common button/safety interlock (operator two-hand presence) on all controls, protective enclosures, flip +90° upright / 0° horizontal / -90° inverted controls, grip/release controls, momentary rotary jaw clockwise/counter-clockwise controls, and tailstock slide controls.
