PHANTOM 3 STANDARD WIFI CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Описание к видео PHANTOM 3 STANDARD WIFI CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Hi all

I bought a Phantom 3 Standard and after the first drone failed because of a firmware fault, the second was eventually delivered.

Upon unboxing and assembly, I charged the drone battery to 100% as well as the remote. I installed the DJI GO app and was ready to go.

However after booting the drone, controller and opening the app, I simply could not connect to the drone's wifi network. It would come and go and at one point I could see it but it just said "Saved" and wouldn't actually connect.

After several restarts and expletives, my son mentioned that it seemed intermittent, so maybe to try moving it away from other wifi networks. We've got a semi-detached house in rural village, however our phone regularly pick up 5-6 wifi routers, not to mention the onslaught of tablets, mobiles, computers and laptops that are in and around our house.

So we went for a short drive to a field where there shouldn't be any wifi networks - and BAM - instant connectivity. The DJI app came alive talking at us telling about the connection and said it was safe and ready to fly. Amazing.

Good luck to those of you who are having similar issues - try and rural area with no wifi if your struggling and see what happens!

PS - Worth reading - We've also found that the manhole we placed the drone on severely messed with the GPS, Gyroscope and compass - don't make the same mistake as we tried it again on a concrete cover - but it must have had metal on underneath but the app didn't make any warnings. Upon starting the drone it immediately starting flying forwards (gyroscope must have been off) so be careful!

Best of luck and hope this helps!

Mark
