**As he continues to think about the Death Devil and Fumiko's requests, Denji realizes that whenever women throw themselves at him, it usually means he's getting manipulated by them. He also wonders if these two are what the Fire Devil meant by choosing between two options again. Before he can ponder any further, Denji notices a rock being pelted at the nurse room's window. He notices Yoshida standing outside the school building waving at him. While Denji heads outside, the Death Devil and Famine Devil continue to rest inside the classroom. When Denji arrives at the school's entrance, he asks Yoshida why he’s just standing there in the rain, and Yoshida replies that he wanted to see the school. Yoshida then remarks that the reason he was able to enroll at Fourth East High was due to Public Safety hiring him to guard Denji there. While at first reluctant, Yoshida considers being assigned as Denji's bodyguard to be something good. Denji asks Yoshida if he's there for a favor like everyone else, but Yoshida reveals that he brought food for the two of them to eat together. Back inside the school building, Denji hungrily devours his meal while Yoshida watches with interest. Still eating, Denji asks if Yoshida plans on having anything, but Yoshida admits that he just likes watching people eat. This causes Denji to remember how Aki used to watch him and Power eat together back when they were still alive. Denji then solemnly admits that some guys are just like that. Yoshida recalls a time when the two handled a group of delinquents and remarks that while hanging out with Denji is hard work, but the memories they've spent together is something worth looking back on. Upon hearing this, Denji questions Yoshida's intentions, only for the latter to explain that he came to say goodbye and the two won't meet again. The two shake hands, thanking each other for the good times they shared. In an unexpected moment, Yoshida apologizes and reveals that his role is to act as a switch — just as the school building is suddenly engulfed in an explosion..
