1) The books are set in New Orleans, specifically, the French Quarter – where you grew up – so there are lot of personal anecdotes to this series.
Can you walk us through what inspired the Casquette Girls and how you ended up writing this story?

2) We’ve discussed, so far, how setting played a big role in inspiring the story. Likewise, time plays a very significant role. Not just dates in the present, but the history of her ancestor Adeline, comes into play.
How important do you believe this element of the story is? How easy or hard was it to navigate this part of the book?

3) Magic, witchcraft and even vampires are themes readers find in many books now a days. As you know, these ideas have strong historical and cultural ties to New Orleans.
When you started these books, did this weigh on you at all? How did you navigate creating your own take on these myths or legends with respect to that background?

4) How did you become a writer? Was it something you’ve always wanted to do or something you were inspired to do?
