Описание к видео Monster Truck Madness 2 - GTX_FLY Sets The Facts Straight!

I raced with some of the best MTM2 racers in the world when I played the game from 1999 to 2000 online via "The Zone!"

Insinuating that we had "bargain basement" computers that lagged the game giving us some kind of advantage is highly insulting and absolute absurd considering how much time and practice we all invested into the game. Of course, you wouldn't know this because you weren't a part of that elite group of racers.

I had an HP Pavilion in 1999 with a Intel Pentium III 600Mhz coupled slightly later with the 3DFX Voodoo 3 3500 TV along with the multi-laser 72x Kenwood CD-ROM drive. Other than not having an Ultra-160 SCSI hard drive installed, I thought I had a top-tier gaming PC back in the day. Sure my internet access sucked ass (26.4kbps) but when you live out in the sticks on a dairy farm there really wasn't much I could do about that till satellite internet (DirecPC) came along. Sure we eventually got DSL from Frontier which was a slight improve until they overloaded it to the point that it become slower than Dial-Up!

I know later on after taking a college course based around the CompTIA A+ Certification in late 2000, I built my first PC around the AMD Athlon Thunderbird with a 3DFX Voodoo 5 5500 graphics card. So I find it quite amusing that someone is suggesting that I ever used a "bargain basement" computer for gaming.

I was in my mid-20s when I was playing Monster Truck Madness 2 and now some 25+ years later I'm just an old man reliving the old glory days playing Monster Jam Showdown on PS5! Only this time around I don't even have the option of racing online due to how bad Milestone made the multiplayer mode. I'm still setting those fast lap times even though I could now officially join the MTM2 team OLD where you had to be at least 40 years old. I bet some of those guys are probably 6 feet under by now which is a scary thought about how times flies when you're having fun!
