In this video, we visualize the continuous writing patterns of SSDs using a two-dimensional display. The Uniform Random workload writes data randomly across the entire SSD, causing invalid pages to be distributed throughout the drive.

The color transitions in the visualization reflect changes in the distribution of invalid pages and erase counts:

Bright Green to Dark Green: A decrease in invalid pages, with bright green indicating areas with the highest number of invalid pages, transitioning to dark green where valid pages dominate.
Bright Pink to Light Pink: High invalid pages with lower erase counts are shown in bright pink, transitioning to light pink where invalid pages and erase counts are both minimized.
White to Pink-White: A balance between invalid pages and erase counts is represented by white, while pink-white highlights areas with a higher number of invalid pages and relatively low erase counts.
This visual representation helps us better understand how data is distributed and erased within an SSD under the Uniform Random workload.
