We're so happy to introduce you to DJ HALIM on MUSICOS BALI

How do you tell two stories at once? In this mix I wanted to go through the inspirations that I have been feeling lately, but I was going back to this question, how do I fold in both the inspirations and their stories at once? Like with DJing we let the mix happen by overlaying two songs on top of each other, why not have the inspirations unfold together through the mix. As a life long fan of the Dune book series I have been ecstatic of the versions told in the cinema recently by Denis Villeneuve, I wanted to pay tribute to his work. However, I also wanted to tell the story of my journey to Saudi Arabia for MDLBeast, as we went there as Club Conscious to discuss sustainability in events. For me it was an eye opening experience to see the music scene and how much the Saudis are doing to support their scene of the region. Especially with the mix the old heritage of Saudi and modern culture that is electronic music.

So this set is a mix of sound samples from Dune and tracks that were inspired by the story interweaved with tracks that have Arabic samples in them, and sticking true to my self I added the Balinese Gamelan sound samples on top as a true mix of stories and cultures!
