Anti-establishment commentators will tell you that unemployment has gone from bad to worse. And government ministers and pro-establishment commentators will pretend as if there is no problem. And since employment statistics are hard to come by, and there are multiple sources and agencies involved, it is easy to twist the data to suit your politics. So unfortunately, the politics of jobs eclipses the economics of jobs.

In it's 46th episode, ‪@thebondeconomist‬ does an ultimate ‘doodh ka doodh, paani ka paani’. Let's look at India's employment situation without the lens of politics. My credentials:
I am an investment bank economist with nearly a decade and a half of experience tracking the Indian economy. I have a PhD in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and two Masters' degrees - one from the London School of Economics (MSc Finance and Economics) and from the Delhi School of Economics (MA Economics).
