I probably should've named her some kind of bean, but I named her last year and didn't realize she was the little jumper. Shallots are kind of bean-shaped though! She's very friendly and is already trying to strengthen her hind legs.

Ruby had her 2nd litter of babies under one of our apple trees. Usually we mow there (one of the few places we mow in the meadow to cut down on tree diseases), but suspected there was a nest so we let the grass grow very long. So long the babies are nearly completely hidden! The tree is right next to Agate's house under the giant Big-Leaf Maple tree. Ruby moved into Agate's house once their mama Peanut got injured and took over Ruby's home as her "healing hideout." Unfortunately that caused Agate to eventually leave our yard and move across the street to a farm. But, oh well...new babies!!

All the bunnies on this channel are eastern cottontails (Sylvilagus floridanus), the most common rabbit species in North America.
