Two unbeatens are squaring off in the desert Monday night as Boise State faces TCU in a BCS game.
The third-ranked Horned Frogs and sixth-ranked Broncos are not only playing for the Fiesta Bowl championship...but more nationwide credibility.
This game marks the first time two schools from conferences without automatic BCS bids have met on this big a stage.
Mountain West champ TCU enters the game 12 and 0..while Western athletic Conference champ Boise state is 13-and-0.
Two former college coaches..Barry Switzer and Tommy Bowden...recently took part in a flag football game in Iraq..featuring former college and NFL stars along with members of the US military.
The two were asked to break down the Fiesta Bowl...with Switzer taking the lead:
SOT; Well, uh, Tommy''s gonna take TCU because of the defense, but because of Boise State and what they did to us a couple years ago in a Oklahoma game, I am gonna take the statue of liberty and the flea flicker. So I am gonna go with Boise State."
The winner will join either Alabama or Texas as the nation''s only unbeaten teams, of the experience of being in Iraq..Bowden says it was a outstanding:

College football, the bowl system and the NFL playoffs all happening around this time, such a big part of American culture. And to take that complete experience over to Baghdad to the troops, pep rally the night before, to tailgating, half time, fly over, cheerleaders, some great NFL players. A tremendous experience.
