The song "Regret" is by the British alternative rock group New Order. Republic (1993), their sixth studio album, included it as the lead single, which was released on April 5, 1993. The producer and co-writer credits go to Stephen Hague. Following the demise of Factory Records, it was the band's first single to be released on CentreDate Co Ltd (via London Records).
