After launching the Jason-3 international oceanography satellite mission from Vandenberg's Space Launch Complex 4 East on 17 January 2016, the first stage of SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket attempted launding on "Just Read the Instructions" droneship. The rocket reached the target, but the lockout collet didn't latched on one the four legs, causing it to tip over and explode.
