LEE Filters Masters of Photography - Joe Cornish

The latest in our Masters series features landscape photographer Joe Cornish discussing three of his images with LEExposure Editor Ailsa McWhinnie.

They discuss three images that represent quite different challenges; from technically controlling the light for large-format film, conceptually shooting Yosemite in the shadow of Ansel Adams, and physically responding to nature - quickly - as unexpected compositions reveal themselves.

Originally trained as a fine artist, Joe then served his photographic apprenticeship as a commercial assistant before having his landscape worked recognised by the National Trust and many subsequent landscape and travel commissions. Since 1993 Joe has lived close to the North York Moors and focused on landscape photography that reflects his love of nature and inspires a sense of respect for the landscape and conservation.
