In this video, I show you how to coat a screen printing screen with photo emulsion using a scoop coater. You can do it with a squeegee, but I highly recommend investing the money in a good scoop coater. It's much easier, and you will get much more even coating on the screen, making the whole process go better. I will usually coat the screens in the evening under indoor lighting. Sunlight has more UV in it, and can expose the photo emulsion more in a shorter amount of time.
Once coated, store the screens in a dark place to allow them to dry. If kept in the dark, you can store them for quite a while until you are ready to use them.
