What is this thing?
This is really the first TRUE GR product
The 86 is largely Subaru
The Supra is largely BMW
This and the GR Yaris are the first real dedicated GR cars
What’s new for 2024?
This thing came out last year and made a BIG splash
2nd model year KEEPS the Circuit grade (here)
Blue Flame paint
Blue interior stitching
Black ext decals
Lighter multi-spoke wheels
The Exhaust
Three tips, one for each cylinder
Unlike the type R, they’re spaced out
So no matter where you get rear ended the exhaust system is getting rekt
Engine
Not a 4 cylinder like everything else
A retune of the exclusive rally homologation GR YAris
1.6T 3 cylinder
300 hp and 275 lbft
Will talk amore behind the wheel later
The flares
Rear hips are so dramatic they flare onto the doors (supra)
Squared off at the back like a boat
Front fenders flared as well with gill
The hood
The dead giveaway
Core trims have no hood detailing
Circuit and Morizos have scoops
They also have carbon fiber roofs
The circuit also gets a bigger and blacker rear wing
The grille
It’s obviously huge
But if you look through it it also has GR Four painted on the radiator

New AWD system and we’ll talk more about it behind the wheel
Embossed in side skirts too
Blue Flare paint gets the skirt decals
Circuit trim gets LSDs front and rear
Core trim does NOT
Rear cupholders
The rear seats are decent size
There’s three seatbelts unlike teh type r
And also 4 cupholders…seems like a lot
Trunk problem
This is a hot hatch so it’s meant to be practical
It is, but it’s significantly smaller than type r trunk
They moved the battery to under the floor for weight
So the floo is a lot higher and eats room
The Blue and GR interior
GR logos everywhere inside
BLUE stitching everywhere, but not on the dash

It has rev matching
But unlike most cars, it doesnt default to having rev matching on
DONT love the manual here
Throws are weird
Pedal box is ok
Safety sense
This car gets toyota safety sense 2.5 WITH adaptive cruise

Heated seats - circuit gets these awesome suede seats
Heated steering wheel

Decent size, kinda basic

Connects better than the Honda system
Circuits get nav - who cares cuz car play
Center dial
This doesnt actually control your drive mode like a normal corolla
It’s your torque split
Can send UP to 40, 50, or 70 to rear, but not at all times
Drive mode tab is tiny and in front of shifter
Odds & Ends
No center console..annoying
Rear view mirror feels weirdly upscale
Auto-blips throttle so hard to stall
