This song was composed for the Gorebridge community choir. I visited the choir to ask what they loved about the local area and they offered many ideas included the starling murmurations, wonderful sunsets, mining heritage, train line, local woodland glen etc. When writing the lyrics I used as many of these lovely ideas as possible and Starlings Whisper O'erhead is the result. I am very grateful for their hard work bringing this piece into musical reality.
