So here's my 4th YouTube video and again it's of my absolute favourite technique the DUTCH POUR again with a splitcolour base! I'm so sorry there is only the side camera angle this time, my other camera didn't record for some reason! But I hope you enjoy this wee video all the same!

I absolutely love doing dutch pours as you will see from following me on Instagram (link below) I just can't seem too get enough of this style of painting, I am totally a fluid art addict! And especially for the DUTCH POUR!

For this technique your paints have to be super, super thin! If you enjoyed this video and want to give paint pouring a go, DO IT! There is so much fun to be had and no two paintings are ever the same.

I would really love to hear all of your feedback, opinions and thoughts guy's, or even if you would like to see me try different techniques and colours combinations leave me a comment in the comment section.

Paint/water/floetrol ratios:
2 part paint
2 part water
1 part floetrol

This dose depend on brands of paint and colours! Different colours of paint from the same brands will have totally different consistency's! The consistency of your paint needs to be super thin for the Dutch Pour and all your paints used has to be thinned out too the same consistency as each other

Paints used:
Daler Rowney, system 3, Titanium White
Daler Rowney, system 3, Phthalo Blue
Daler Rowney, system 3, Deep Violet
Daler Rowney, system 3, Cyan Blue
Pebeo Studio Acrylics, Iridescent Copper

The gray base used are from drippings off my table and scraped paint off of canvases with a touch of Arteza Mars Black added to achieve the desired colour!

Floetrol used:
Owatrol

Canvas:
'10x12' triple primed cotton canvas

I am so happy I found acrylic pouring and fluid art in 2020! It was a horrible year for us all but I'm glad to have found this style of art during a lockdown. I've always had a love for abstract art but nothing ever really clicked until I discovered fluid art. I really hope to continue doing paint pours for years to come, it feels freeing to be able to produce a piece of art and be proud of it!
