Marek and Wacek (Marek&Vacek) duo performed during 1963 - 1986 and was popular in many European countries like Western and Eastern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Scandinavian countries or Soviet Union. They had also played in the USA and Canada. The duo had recorded 20 albums and won many prestigious European awards.

Marek Tomaszewski (born in Kraków, November 20, 1943) is a Polish pianist and composer.
In 1974 he moved to Parmain near Paris. Afrer Kisielewski's death he met Michel Prezman and set up piano duo "Marek & Michel". They released album called "America" (1988). Duo split up in 1993.
Tomaszewski had recorded three solo albums: Premiere, Rapsodia (2009) and Strawinsky's "The Rite of Spring" ("Le Sacre du Printemps") (2010). We can hear his play in movie "Coco Chanel & Igor Strawinsky" (2009).


Wacław Kisielewski (born in Warsaw, February 12, 1943 -- July 12, 1986) was a Polish pianist, son of Stefan Kisielewski who was a Polish writer, publicist, composer and politician.
Wacław died after the car accident near Warsaw which happened on 9 July. He shot out of the car which he travelled by as a passenger. He died in hospital because of many internal injures. He was burried in the Powązki Cemetery, Warsaw on July 17. The funeral mass was attended by a huge crowd. The representatives of EMI and Yamaha were present, among others.

Marek and Wacek was Polish world-class piano duo. The duo ceased to exist with the death of Wacek Kisielewski, short before planned tourne in Japan.
