Short Cut to Nirvana is an award winning documentary about the Kumbh Mela spiritual festival.

In this clip, Avadhoot Baba declares the urgent need for world peace and sits on his throne of nails over a flaming pit.

The Maha Kumbh Mela (Great Festival of the Urn) takes place every twelve years near the Indian town of Allahabad.

Pilgrims gather here from all over India and around the world: gurus, spiritual leaders and their devotees, and ascetic sadhus who emerge from their solitary forest retreats and mountain caves.

With over 70 million people attending, the Maha Kumbh Mela is the biggest gathering in the history of humanity.
