Fossil Hunting For “Sea Dragon”Bones And Ammonite Fossils.

Описание к видео Fossil Hunting For “Sea Dragon”Bones And Ammonite Fossils.

My recent fossil hunting finds have been an Ichthyosaur tooth and a vertebra. Ichthyosaurs are named “sea dragons” because of their teeth and large eyes. Join me as I go on a long fossil walk to the East of Lyme Regis, in conjunction with safe tide times. The best fossils are found at low tide .I hope you find some fossils along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide. Sometimes fossil hunting turns out to be treasure hunting, it’s fun just to see the “ treasures” on the large rocks. The Jurassic Coast really does have some stunning fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs. The best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks ——————http://www.lymeregisfossilwalks.com There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic Coast- #fossilhunter#fossilhunting#ammonite
