If I posed the question, what do you think is the most important reason that Jesus was born, I am sure that the majority of the answers will be the same because that is what we have been taught. There is nothing wrong with that, but that is the end result of His life on earth. What about during His life on earth?
A Son Is Born
Allow me to give you my perspective of the true reason the Child was born; a Son is given to us. I remember a story being told of a human trying to warn a colony of ants about lurking danger if they continue on their path. But after many attempts the language barrier between the human and the ants prevented the warning from being understood, until the human became an ant.
Jesus was born so that God the Father could become one of us in order for us to understand Him when He speaks. “Emmanuel, God with us.” But I am sure you will agree with me, people do not fully trust you until they see how you operate.
When you buy a car, of course there is a lot of paperwork to be completed, including the bank saying yes to you borrowing their money. What happens when the entire transaction is done? The salesperson gets behind the steering wheel and you are standing outside the car. The ultimate reason why you are at the dealership is so that you can drive away with the car. Right.

What happens before you drive away with the car is very important for your own safety. The salesperson explains every control and feature in the car from the driver’s perspective so that you are safe when you take the drivers seat behind the steering.
Most Important
Some of you may already know where I am going with this but let me elaborate. As important as the death of Jesus Christ is, the life of Jesus is of just as great an importance.
Jesus was born so that He could get into the driver’s seat and teach us the controls, so that when we go out on the Christian road, we would know and obey the rules of the road, not only for ourselves but also to help others.
