To study the Elder Futhark runes, I write a "skaldic" song per rune and use Suno to set them to music. (If you want to hear me sing, quest and find my other channel and be appalled.) This has been a personal endeavor, but these things might be of help to someone else.

All lyrics are my original tunes. Often the tunes are also mine cleaned up with Suno Pro. I'd like to be able to make music like this on my own, but I've given up hope in my old age. I'm particularly pleased with this particular one as I was very inspired, so writing it only took a couple of hours - and no I did not use AI to write the lyrics. Some of us are college educated and have been reading real live books since we were seven years old.

You're welcome to use this in your personal workings but please don't do like others have done and steal/claim credit for my stuff. Odin might smite you. He's not ALWAYS stealing mead from ladies in mountains. I'm doing these things for him. So there is that.

Grandfather's stones wound and wove 'round my heart
My breath became heavy from sound
My sight saw the pathways and scattered leaves
The steps left behind on the ground.

The rafters, the beams, the hearth's hollow mouth

The first verse of the chorus was originally "blood, toil and soil" but during the final tweaks I decided "lore" not only fit better but sounded better. HOWEVER in the interest of not bending knee to a certain gaggle of fascists, I hereby give you permission to sing this song using the word blood if you dare. IDGF.
