You are a new Data Analyst at Desert Vine Wine Company, a boutique wine distributor based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company specializes in importing and distributing premium wines from around the world to restaurants, wine bars, and retail stores throughout the Southwest.

The Sales Manager has asked you to analyze the company's wine portfolio data to better understand market trends and customer preferences. This analysis will be the beginning (as we are just getting started) with helping the team make informed decisions about which wines to feature in their upcoming seasonal catalog and which regions or styles to focus on for new partnerships.

The Sales Manager is particularly interested in understanding:

• Which wine styles are most popular (based on number of ratings)

Your analysis will help the sales team identify promising wines to promote and regions to explore for new partnerships.

This introductory assignment provides hands-on experience with Excel and Tableau while applying basic data visualization principles. You will work through fundamental data analysis steps including data exploration, simple calculations, and creating clear visualizations that help tell a story about wine market trends.

The assignment builds upon concepts from previous tutorials while introducing new features such as:
• Basic data filtering and sorting
• Default properties/formatting/aggregation in Excel and Tableau
• Creating multiple visualizations and chart types
• Building a basic dashboard layout
• Adding logos and information buttons to a dashboard
