Dr. Kenneth Gentry argues that since John was told to "rise and measure the temple of God" (Rev. 11:1-2), then the literal Temple in Jerusalem must have still been standing when John wrote it; therefore, the Early Date proposed for the authoring of the book of Revelation is sound.

But, alas,....No!

1). Rev. 11:19 clearly talks about the "temple in heaven" (even the "ark of his covenant" is seen in it!). Could it be this very "temple" that John is talking about in vv. 1-2?
Or,
2). Is John is talking about the same "temple," in Rev. 11:1-2 that Paul was talking about in 1 Cor. 3:16, 2 Cor. 6:16, Eph. 2:21, and even Jesus in Jn. 2:21?

These are the only 2 options, unless Scripture is contradictory.

I don't think for one second that John was contradicting Paul!

In other words, the "temple" in Rev. 11:1-2 is in fact a reference to the Church of Christ on the earth, reflecting the "temple in heaven" (Rev. 11:19), though not perfectly so...not yet, at least. That awaits the 2nd Advent.
