I have seen a lot of negative reviews about people experiencing a lot of difficulty priming these filters. If done properly, they are cake to prime. If the tubing joints on the intake are not going to be completely submerged, like in a turtle tank, you need to glue them shut so they don't leak air, as air leaks will cause priming issues.
