On this adventure I set out to explore an abandoned community in the woods now part of Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Preserve. The area had buildings and roads now reclaimed by nature. It’s incredible to hike these lands and experience the history along the way. The scenic and historic Hillsborough River is nearby with many recreational activities available throughout the preserve.
