Goodwin Connections welcomes Angela Poe Russell from KING-5's Evening as she moderates a panel discussion about what it means to be a college student AND a parent.

Featured parents, Feny and Briana, are college students who are program participants with Goodwin Connections. Goodwin's program supports student parents where they are at and helps them get to where they want to go in their careers. Feny is going into the computer science field and dreams of one day having her own start-up. Briana hopes to one day teach other nurses. They are joined by Rachel Sanchez, Goodwin's Program & Community Outreach Manager.

The extremely high cost of childcare is a barrier for parents who want to get ahead with the help of a college degree. Goodwin Connections' program makes childcare more accessible, consistent and affordable for student parents. By removing the childcare barrier, it allows parents to attend college full-time, do well in school, graduate in a timely manner, and launch their careers. At the same time, their children receive an early learning opportunity that helps set them up for their own educational successes.
