The level I made for ‪@ccatbbath‬ (idol) during JUMP Team's 2024 Secret Santa. The levels were compiled into the hack "One Day The Sadness Will End."

The prompt was literally just to 'f' it up. So I made the most f'd up version of the most cursed level in Super Mario World.

This video shows every single route. Unlike the original SMW level, this level has a branch between every path you take....and there's even more routes on top of that...AND there is an actual goal beyond just beating the level.

The level is split into 30 possible routes; 29 accessible from the get-go, one unlockable. To unlock the level's true ending, you must find eight lost souls scattered throughout the 29 paths you can take. This video shows all paths, though it also shows the true/redeemed ending.

Area 1 has a coin check that splits five ways: 0 coins, more than 0, more than 8, more than 13, and more than 20.
Area 2 has the vanilla time checks. Above 250 is the secret exit route, below 250 and below 235 are the two split paths of the normal exit.
Area 3 Secret Route has a specialized check where if you get rid of the throw blocks, that unlocks an alternate portrait. Only exception is the most "normal" variant with the ending paths.
Area 3 Normal Route is an area that detects if you have 4 dragon coins or not.
Area 4 Low Yoshi Coin Route is with the rexes, and-
Area 4 All Yoshi Coin Route is where you need a p-switch or switch palaces to cross.

There's an unexplained lore snuck into this thing; one that's completely separate from the rest of the game of "One Day The Sadness Will End." I don't think it's extremely hard to piece together, but ultimately it's up to interpretation. Feel free to come up with your own thoughts on what this level's story is telling.

The fact this entire level was implemented, and even made into true 100% in the actual game is really funny. I appreciate Kevin for his efforts.
