Sewing Lingerie ~ Sewing Vintage Style Betty High Waist Panties by OHHH LULU ~ Review & Sewalong

Hello My Lovelies,

Today I'm beginning my lingerie sewing adventures and starting with the Betty High Waist Panties by Ohhh Lulu. I love how big they are and the very vintage style of them! And the panels mean there's lots of opportunity to be creative with fabrics and trims. I'm hoping to use up a lot of my surplus bridal fabrics and possibly re purpose some of my samples too over the coming months. I basically want a whole new lingerie wardrobe for Autumn & winter!
One thing I would say is that supplies for lingerie making are running very low in the UK at the moment but I hope I can get some lovely bits in for future versions of my Betty Knickers.

Things I mention today:

The Pattern ~ I used the Betty High Waist Panties by Ohhh Lulu which I found on Pinterest a long time ago and downloaded as a freebie. I don't think it's available as a free pattern anymore but here's the link to her Etsy store and there are lots of other options to try. I certainly will be!

The Fabrics~
I used a silk satin from my stash for the front and back panels and you can use any woven fabric as long as it's cut on the bias.

The dotty mesh is from Fit2sew

The pretty picot edge lingerie elastic is from Sew Curvy which is especially good for corsetry making supplies {which is on the cards for sure!}
