Tanah Airku is track five on Benedict's album 'Songs in Five Languages' - nine interpretations of pop, classical and patriotic songs in English, French, German, Indonesian and Italian:

The album was released in October 2023.

Tanah Airku - usually translated as 'My Homeland' - is an Indonesian patriotic song written by Saridjah Niung (known as Ibu Sud). The words and a translation are lower down.

'Songs in Five Languages' was recorded by Kieran Kenderessy on 25 June 2023, with videos of three songs made on the day by Sam Irwin.

The idea to record a multilingual album developed out of Benedict's 2022 album of nineteenth-century German classical songs: 'Ausgew​ä​hlte Lieder: Schumann, Wolf, Mahler':

Meanwhile Benedict's ninth album of his own songs will be recorded in December, for release in 2024.
