We purchased the LNL153 heavy-duty grease gun for about $70 from LocknLube.com after having disappointing results from cheap guns bought at the big box home improvement and auto supply outlets.

The gun arrived quickly, well-packaged, and in pristine condition. I took the gun to my mechanic friend, Pat, and had him load it, prime it, and use it to get his professional opinion on the unit. After putting it to the test, he gave it a positive rating and said that it was a good piece of equipment.

Here’s why.

Equipped with a high-quality 20” hose complete with an in-line hose swivel that eliminates twist and positioning resistance, as well as the hose unscrewing from the pump head. At the end of the hose is the LockNLube® grease coupler. The coupler locks onto a Zerk fitting (grease nipple) and won’t let go - or leak. The coupler is rated up to 10,000 psi! When you’re done greasing, push the thumb lever down on the coupler to release.

When the job is done, and it’s time to store the grease gun, LockNLube® has the Loop & Lock™ storage technology to allow you to secure the coupler when not in use. A Zerk-type nib is on the top of the pump assembly to attach the grease coupler. This eliminates grease getting in your toolbox, clothes, or storage rack. At the same time, a loop is created in the hose that is easily used for storage or carrying.

Patrick also commented that the unit was well-made and would last in the shop. He liked it so much that he wanted one for his toolbox and the younger mechanics under his tutelage. I’ve asked the LockNLube® Team if they’ll send some, and they said they will!
