Alexandre Gustave Eiffel was a French civil engineer. The Eiffel Tower was designed by his company and built for the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. He also contributed to the construction of the Statue of Liberty in New York.. These statues of Thomas Edison and Gustave Eiffel are placed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The lovely place is a remarkable reconstruction of the Gustave Eiffel's office when he met Thomas Edison here. The Eiffel Tower was originally used as a laboratory for measurements and scientific experiments. Many scientific instruments were installed (barometers, anemometers, electrical conductors, etc.). Additionally, Gustave Eiffel built himself an office on the third floor to conduct astronomical and physical observations.
