Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy arrived in Borgo Egnazia, Puglia, on June 13 to attend the G7 leaders' summit. The summit, hosted by Italy, focuses on international crises, with particular emphasis on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Zelenskiy participated in discussions about a proposed $50 billion loan for Ukraine, funded by interest from frozen Russian assets. He is also set to sign a new long-term security agreement with U.S. President Joe Biden. As the only non-G7 head of state present on Thursday, Zelenskiy will be joined by other global leaders on June 14 for sessions on Africa, the Mediterranean, AI, and energy, reflecting Italy's intent to expand the G7's global engagement.
