He discusses the differences between online and in-person degrees especially as students apply for jobs or graduate schools. The fully online program at Kean University provides a more accessible option for individuals while still allowing students to receive the exact same degree as in-person students. During the pandemic, the online degree proved to be more organized compared to traditionally in-person classes that had to shift quickly online. Dr. Brian Teasdale, echos what other leaders in online programs have mentioned which is that students who are focused, organized, and self-motivated are excellent candidates for the online degree. He predicts that in the coming years, there will be a growth in online programs of every kind, including hybrid courses to offer even more flexibility for students. Especially as more competitive schools embrace online programs, Teasdale suggests there will be large shifts in higher education.
