West Creek Falls-Rocky Mountain National Park-Holiday Snow Hike

On December 6, 2024 We set out to hike in the Lump Ridge area of Rocky Mountain National Park. We hiked to West Creek Falls from the McGraw Ranch. I love hiking here this time of year. West Creek Falls doesn't freeze over as fast as the other waterfalls in RMNP. Not many people hike here this time of year. We had the entire hike to ourselves. There is only space for 12 cars to park. Most people hike to Bridal Veil Falls from this trailhead. Winter arrived early this year, 2024, with an enormous winter storm hitting all the Rockies the first week of November and another large storm the week of Thanksgiving. Trails in the high alpine are almost not accessible, unless you have the right equipment and expert experience. Wishing you all a Joyous Holiday Season.
