LS Dutch woman in long dress and little white cap is bent over by doorstep; scrubbing wooden shoes. MS she looks up w/ big smile. Fade into MS 5 pair clogs outside door; woman enters; leaves clogs there as she goes into house.



Next woman turning handle of barrel washing machine; making barrel turn lengthways. Then she bends down scrubbing clothing? Next; MS Dutch girl c. age 14; wearing pretty dress; pins back her hair and puts on white head-dress like mom's; w/ jangling metal ornaments at her temples. Her mother helps her fasten another piece of the cap. CU girl smiling; she turns around. MS girl; w/ shawl; holding purse. Girl walking away & round corner of house. MCU pan on the girl w/ several other young girls; ages c. 6-13 all in Dutch ethnic costumes. Girls walking away up the street. Then MS posing again; standing in order by height. Cute. Holland; housework; children.
