A tropical low in the Coral Sea is rapidly developing and expected to intensify into a cyclone by Saturday. If you're anywhere from Cape York down to northern NSW, this will impact you.

🌊 WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND:

Far North Queensland (Cairns, Port Douglas, Innisfail): Heavy rainfall 150-300mm, potential flash flooding, dangerous surf 3-5m waves. Coastal inundation during high tides.

Townsville & Central QLD: Widespread rain 100-200mm, strong winds up to 100km/h if system intensifies to Category 1-2. Power outages likely.

Brisbane & Gold Coast: Severe thunderstorms, heavy downpours, damaging wind gusts. Unstable conditions through Monday.

Northern NSW (Byron Bay to Mid North Coast): Intense rainfall, beach erosion, hazardous surf conditions.

☑️ PREPARE NOW:
✅ Secure outdoor furniture and trampolines
✅ Stock up on essentials (water, non-perishables, batteries, first aid)
