This was the turning point for the Nittany Lions 1996 season. Fresh off of their second loss in three games, a victory against Indiana was a must, to keep the integrity of the season in check. By halftime, it didn't look like fate was going in the way of Penn State. After key offensive starters Wally Richardson and Curtis Enis were pulled to give an opportunity for the reserves to get the job done, the momentum slowly swung towards the visitors. Yet, by the end of the third quarter, there was no slowing down the Nittany Lions. Chris Eberly and Joe Jurevicius made sensational play after sensational play, offensively. And the defense put a cap on Indiana's running attack, which gained nearly 200 yards in the first half alone. The second half performance was one of the more impressive and dominant second halves in Penn State history.

Penn State's Top Performers:

Joe Jurevicius: 4 receptions, 157 yards, TD
Chris Eberly: 16 carries, 108 yards, TD .. 2 receptions, 16 yards, TD
Aaron Harris: 14 carries, 66 yards, TD

Penn State got back on the winning track for a 7-2 record at that time. Indiana would fall to 2-6 and end up with a 3-9 final record in 1996.
