Скачать или смотреть A WINTER NEW FOREST WALK at BROCKISHILL INCLOSURE & FURZY LAWN INCLOSURE (NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK)

In this episode of my series “ Walks in the New Forest” , I take a “Winter”walk around the area South of the Brockishill Inclosure just to the South of Cadnam. Once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Logan.

I park my car at the Brockishill Green Forestry Commission car park which is located along Brockishill Road, just off the A337 Cadnam to Lyndhurst Road.

My 5 mile circular route starts by heading South through the Brockishill Inclosure to the stream called Dogben Gutter where I discover a boundary stone from 1822. I continue South through the Furzey Lawn Inclosure and over the stream called Fleet Water and on to an open area just South of Fox Hill.

After many minutes of exploring, I find the “Fair Cross Oak” - a splendid old tree with a girth of 6.69 metres!

I then head North East between Rushpole Wood & Fox Hill and eventually come across the edge of Busketts Lawn Inclosure. At this point, I head North to find Bartley Cricket Ground – set in the delightful surroundings of the woodland.

The final section of the walk takes me North West between Eaves Hill & Great Stubby Hat – back to the car park.

After a short car journey back to Cadnam, I finish my walk with refreshments at the Sir John Barleycorn pub.

I was filming on a very cold day in mid December (I don't think that the temperature got much above 0 degrees!) with frost on the ground which added an atmosphere to the walk.
