IronGear Steam Hammer bridge pickup

Описание к видео IronGear Steam Hammer bridge pickup

The guitar I'm using in this video is a Washburn N2 which was bought second hand in 1997. Unlike some of the other N2 guitars I've seen it didn't have the Bill Lawrence pickups. The stock bridge pickup was really loud but didn't have the interesting qualities I'd look for in a high-gain pickup. Also, it caused quite a bit of feedback even with the position set quite low.

Looking for a replacement for the bridge pu, I installed an IronGear Steamhammer. They don't do much marketing but have a good reputation. The company sells a lot of other great hardware too so check out http://axetec.co.uk.

The Steam Hammer is high-gain and very fat sounding, maintaining a decent balance across the freq. spectrum. I'd definitely recommend them as they're all round excellent for rock and metal. They don't sound like some cheap Dimarzio knock-off, they definitely have their own flavour and are cut above stock pickups commonly found in less expensive guitars.
