Winter has settled heavy on the farm. The frosts bite deep here in the high country, and yet, the garden holds strong. After four years, the land feels more rooted, more resilient — even as frost cloth tears in the wind and the thermometer drops below zero. In this chapter of our off-grid journey, we prepare new garden beds for spring planting.
