*Not my property/not for-profit.* Impact Records 26-IMX - Ramon Jimenez, known to the world as "Lil' Ray" was born in Delano, CA in 1950. He moved to East Los Angeles as a child, performing first with backing by SGV's The Premiers, then as the singer of Thee Midniters, and finally as a solo artist after 1965. He would record under the names "Little Ray," "Lil' Ray," and "Ray Jimenez." After Thee Midniters split in the early 1970s giving Lil' Willie G some more spare time, he and Lil' Ray teamed up to form God's Children, who released a few singles on the Uni and Gordo labels; their full studio session was reissued in 2017 as "The Complete Collection" on brown vinyl. Lil' Ray currently runs the studio in East L.A. that he opened decades ago, Sanctuary Records. Cheers to Lil' Ray for his incredible life and career!

This is Lil' Ray's first single, wherein he is backed by The Premiers. It was issued on vinyl with yellow and red labels, with both versions bearing the following text, at the insistence of label owner Tony Hilder: "Our country can never go right by going left." Apparently, Hilder was a Barry Goldwater stan.
