Today marks the First Sunday of Advent, a holy season of preparation, hope, and expectation as we await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

✝️ FIRST READING – Isaiah 63:16b–17, 19b; 64:2–7

The prophet cries out to God as Father and Redeemer.
A powerful reminder that even when we feel abandoned, God’s love is unchanging.
He shapes us like clay; we are the work of His hands.
Let us humble ourselves and return to Him with true repentance.

✝️ RESPONSORIAL PSALM – Psalm 80

“Lord, make us turn to You; let us see Your face and we shall be saved.”
A heartfelt prayer for restoration, mercy, and divine protection.

✝️ SECOND READING – 1 Corinthians 1:3–9

St. Paul reminds us that God enriches us with grace, wisdom, and spiritual gifts.
Christ will strengthen you to the end.
You are called into fellowship with Jesus, who is always faithful.

✝️ GOSPEL – Mark 13:33–37

Jesus warns: “Be watchful! Be alert!”
In this Advent season, He calls us to stay awake spiritually—
