Chilka Tour on a boat from Satpada
We had an impromptu plan to visit Puri and we did it on our new #nexon #darkedition . Since, it was a short trip of 2 days, we didn't have time to visit many places, but #chilka #chilkalake was a top priority. We drove down from Puri after having a heart breakfast and reached #satpada around 1.30 pm.

A word of caution- There will be many Touts on bike following you and asking you to take a detour around 10 kms before #satpada to another boating site. But inexorbitant cost of the rides and meal put us off, so we left

We went straight to #satpada #otdc #panthaniwas . Had a lovely lunch there and booked a lovely 30 seater boat for the afternoon pleasure trip. We were only 3 of us, counting our 6 year old Son, but we had other 8 people or so waiting, so we booked the boat together and shared the fare.

We never had high hopes about watching dolphins but to our surprise we did see them, and there were plenty of them. Overall the lovely waters changing it's shade with the setting sun, the lovely clear skies, the isolated island, the walk through the woods, the sunset on that deserted beach and the ride back in the dark was very exciting and etched in our memories forever.
