"Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) blamed the “diversity, equity, and inclusion” head of the Secret Service for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

Burchett, along with other Republicans, has slammed the Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle for the reaction to the attack on the former president that left one rally attendee dead and two others injured. The GOP lawmaker labeled Cheatle a “DEI” appointee and suggested she was unfit for her job.

On Saturday, Thomas Crooks shot at Trump from a rooftop near a rally in Pennsylvania, injuring the former president’s right ear. Secret Service snipers immediately responded by eliminating the shooter while agents tackled Trump."
