This EASY-TO-GROW Berry Should be NEXT on Your List!

This video was recorded in July, but now is the perfect time to plant for your upcoming season. We have grown so many different berries here at Guten Gardening, from raspberries to currant to honeyberries, but Gooseberries find themselves right up there as some of our favorite berries to grow for many reasons.

The taste of gooseberries is phenomenal, and because the berry can be harvested at different points of ripeness, you can pick the flavor profile you prefer the most. Additionally, this perennial berry bush is easy to grow even in cooler grow zones like zone 5 Wisconsin.

On top of all of that, this bush is incredibly productive as well, with fruit growing most of the way down the long stems of this bush. We think this is a unique fruit that is unbelievably tasty and worth growing.

If you have never tried growing gooseberries before, we are going to recommend you give them a try this upcoming gardening season.
