The Ridgid HD 1200 shop vac, sold at Home Depot, is a large capacity vacuum with a few good features. However, I found some significant drawbacks as well. The sound level is low and the suction is excellent, so the motor gets high marks. It's the rest of the package where things go downhill. I fitted this vacuum with the VF6500 HEPA kit, which includes and upgraded filter and two VF3602 HEPA rated bags. In this video I give a complete review, and I'll show a modification I made to improve one disappointing aspect of the unit.
