Four Day Backpacking in The Great Smoky Mountains

Описание к видео Four Day Backpacking in The Great Smoky Mountains

We went for a backpacking trip in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in between Christmas and New Years. We parked at the Big Creek Campground, hiked up Chestnut Branch Trail, along the Appalachian Trail to the Balsam Mountain Trail, then along the Sterling Ridge Trail and finally down Baxter Creek Trail. Three nights, four days.

This route has a lot of ridge walking, as well as several long climbs. Mount Cammerer, Mount Guyot, and Mount Sterling mountains are the major mountains on the route.

With side trips, the total was around 39 miles.
