Barcarola is better as FP provided a lot of inspiration and Barcarola adding more to Impromptu's Atk instances every round really help in achieving higher dmg output.
Compared to
37:55 Matilda, Barcarola, Regulus, Kiperina
9 Rounds Clear total 1.8 M dmg - 200k per round (I think Impromptu attacked the wrong unit resulting in higher dmg, so if it's attacking the right unit, the result should be quite similar).
Also if compared to Aleph's run (without Barcarola), both cleared in 9 rounds.

again, I am not 100% clear how much dmg end up wasted on the minion, but DMG per round is similar using either voyager or regulus.
Conclusion
Aleph/Barcarola:
Aleph and Barcarola are the major dmg amplifier for Impromptu, I would say, you must have at least one of them to make them comparable to current meta in GL, but if CN, then you will need both Aleph and Barcarola. But again, we are not sure if that level of DMG is actually required to clear content in CN.
Regulus/Voyager:
Both of them function more as a utility for Impromptu, basically allows Impromptu to target the correct unit, Voyager does have advantage against 3 enemies, but Regulus is better against 1-2 enemy. Having either one is okay.
Kiperina:
Do not skip Kiperina, even in non-impromptu, she is still pretty useful. Her sustain is too important! She also function as a battery (inspiration) for the team, without high inspiration their DMG will drop.
Flutterpage:
Her role, other than providing AP (at P0 is for herself so she can use her Ult). It's important to use FP Ult in impromptu because of her Eureka and the inspiration she generate is the key component of Flutterpage in Impromptu team. However, in lock-out events like Reverie, you probably want to use Flutterpage in your FUA team instead of Impromptu.
Matilda:
One main problem with Matilda is that she doesn't add to Impromptu number of Atk but instead amplify it's dmg. Her using incantation also generate inspiration. So she is more of a dmg amplifier for impromptu, just that she is not as effective as Barcarola and Aleph at doing it. An optional option.
So lastly, I recommend that to use Impromptu effectively, you need at least 3 impromptu units.
