The world thinks of meekness as weak and timid, but bibically nothing could be further from the truth. Meekness, in God's eyes, is tremendous power under control. Those who are meek, willing seek and submit to God's will, put the needs of others before their own desires, are unpretentious, teachable, calm and self-controlled. They yield their rights and are never defensive, yet speak up for others in the face of injustice. They rely on the Holy Spirit for the power to speak calmly, act gently and bow humbly before God.
